Elsie B Cole

Elsie B. Cole, age 95 of Tallahassee, Florida, and previous longtime resident of Medina, passed away on May 23, 2012. She was born on February 23, 1917 in Nycut, West Virginia to the late John Hance and Ollie (Jarvis) Bourne. Elsie retired as a machine operator at Chevrolet in Parma and was a member of the Medina Assembly of God Church.

Elsie is survived by her son Col (USAF retired) Robert Lee (Bonnie) Cole Sr. of San Antonio, Texas; her daughters Lois (Roger) Cotman of Medina and Jeanette (Walker) McCoy of Tallahassee, Florida; her grandchildren James and Jeff (Theresa) Cotman, Lori (Craig) Rogoff, Lt Col (retired) Robert Lee (Mary Nell) Cole, Jr., and Sharon Willis; great-grandchildren Zachary, Jeremiah, Miranda, Casey Ann, Jackie, Thomas, and Clay Cotman, Cole Willis, and Travis and Rachel Cole; and her sister Ruth Shuman of Fairmont, West Virginia, brother in law, James (Margaret) Cole of Ada, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband Burgess in 1974; her infant son James Burgess Cole in 1938; brothers Dana and Darrel Bourne and her sisters Mildred Smith and Leona Stocker.

A service will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Spring Grove Cemetery Chapel, 605 E. Washington St., Medina. Rev. Ron Dress from the Medina Assembly of God will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am on Friday before the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice organization of your choice.
