Christopher A. Riehm, age 50, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Medina. Chris was born April 14, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Highland High School in 1979, where he was a standout athlete in football, wrestling and track. Chris played football at The Ohio State University, where he was a four year letterman from 1979-1982. Chris went on to play professional football and finished his playing career with the Raiders. Soon after his retirement from football he returned to Ohio to be close to his family. When Chris wasn't attending Buckeye games and seeing old friends, he enjoyed spending time at home with his dog Sheba and working on various hobbies with his wife.

Husband of 8 years to Mary (Garrison); loving son of Carrolton C. (Helen) Riehm and Sandra Thoburn (Williams); dear brother of Melissa (Brian) Gura and Leah (Scott) Wasserman; brother-in-law of Cindy (Henry) Tilbert, Cathy (Skip) Jones, and Chuck (Cheryl) Garrison; uncle of Tyler and Chloe Wasserman, Jake and Paige Gura, Casey and Scott Tilbert, and Jason and Chrissy.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Pastor Mark Campo will officiate. Family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
